CARS… A 4x4 is needed and most vehicles run about $US185 a day. GAS… At time of writing, about $US5.00 a gallon averaging $60 a day FOOD. .. I pack a picnic breakfast and lunch for the days we are in the field and estimate about $20 per person per day. Food choices to be discussed. Dinners are about $15-20 HOTELS…Santo Domingo
a. Hotel Embajador. Top of the line hotel with 300+ parakeets
roosting outside every night. $160-single and $185-double(breakfast
is included and this is our brunch on Day 2). b.
Hotel Palacio, Calle Duarte 106. Very attractive older hotel in the
Colonial Zone, within walking distance of historical sites, the Amber
Museum and many restaurants. Strongly recommend booking by internet
as they offer discounts with this service. c. Less expensive options are avaialable. |
